Procedures of updating the software for CHEMIX-180

 

〔Before Updating〕

1. Save the current system parameters.

(System Parameters) à　(FD) à　Save user parameters to FD

2. Print Inventory details (2/2 page) by hard copy, if necessary.

Because after updating the software, the current inventory is all deleted, and it is not possible to cover the parameter saving by FD.

3. Write down the current software version.

(System Parameters) à　(System) à　 Program version

4. If possible, save the “DB” folder in the “Analyzer” folder to “temp” folder of ”C” drive. In current situation, it's not possible to restore the data results to new version after updating.

(Ctrl +Alt + .dot) à　(Power off) à　( Desk top screen) à　(Explorer) à　(“C” drive) à　(Program files) à　(Analyzer) à　save “DB” folder to “temp” folder

 

〔Updating〕

. Return to the Desk top on the Win. NT.

(Ctrl +Alt + .dot) à　(Power off) à　( Desk top screen)

 

(Updating the Mechanical Control Software by 2 FDs )

1.       Procedures of FFFTP

 Before the following procedures, do check if the icon of “A/B” is selected on the above side of the screen. “A/B” means being available for both ASCII and BINARY.

( Double crick "FFFTP") à　(CA-180) à　 (Connect) à　(the right side of the screen, "update" folder) à　 open (/home/kogata/update)

(Insert the first FD) à　( the left side of the screen,) à　 ( "A drive" double click) à　( kogata_01.tar select) à　( "↑" upload)　

à　( kogata_02.tar select) à ( "↑" upload) à　(Insert the second FD) à　( the left side of the screen,) à　( kogata_03.tar select) à　( "↑" upload) à　

à　( kogata_04.tar select) à　( "↑" upload) à Completed

 

 

2. Procedures of TELNET

( Double click "TELNET") à　login : ( kogata ) à　password : ( qnx ) à　

kogata# : ( cd update) à  kogata# : ( kgt_update) à　after several seconds completed à　 kogata# : ( logout )

3. Confirmation the updating

( Double click "FFFTP") à　(CA-180) à　 (Connect) à　(the right half screen, "update" folder) à　 open (/home/kogata/update) à Confirm the 4 executable files being changed

 

(Updating the User Interface Software by CD)

1. Delete the current software

(Start) à　( settings) à　( Add/Remove Programs) à　(Next) à　( Program Maintenance) à　( Remove) à　completed à　( Finish)

2. Install the new software

( Insert the CD) à　Automatically appears the message à　( Input "Analyzer" in "User Name") à　(Next) à　(Next) à ( Install ) à　Completed à　( Finish)

 

〔Loading the current System Parameters by FD〕

1. Restart the main unit and the computer

2. Load the System Parameters

(System Parameters) à　(FD) à　the lowest line "System Parameters ( Former generation) Load parameters" à　Completed

3. Restart the main unit and the computer

Confirm the chemistry and the calibration parameters

4. Registration of the reagents on the "inventory" screen, if necessary

( Run Monitor) à　( Inventory ) à　( Page: 2/2 ) à　( Double crick "*" in the column of "Barcode") à　( Enter the number of 8 or 14 digits)
