The CELL-DYN SMS?/I> consistently produces high-quality blood films. Smearing parameters have been optimized, ensuring consistent blood films every time, eliminating the need to make adjustments for samples with significantly high or low hematocrit values. In the closed sampling mode, the 50-position autoloader mixes, identifies the sample, and aspirates only 100礚. Only 30礚 of sample is required in the open sampling mode. Each slide is positively identified with multiple lines of user-definable demographics printed directly onto the slide. A "Stain Only" mode is available. The intelligent CELL-DYN WorkCell delivers complete hematology automation to maximize workflow efficiency and increase operator safety. A modular configuration provides the flexibility to meet your laboratory needs. The basic system includes one Navigator module, one Load module, and one Unload module with main bar code reader. The basic system will incorporate a minimum of two CELL-DYN 4000 system modules and one CELL-DYN SMS?/I> module. Intelligent processing fully integrates all phases of automation using operator-defined decision filters and actions. Filters can be based on run status: initial or reflex; active system flags; limit sets tied to: age and sex, lab action criteria, panic values, active morphology flags, demographics, and delta check. Actions are tied to the 4 R's: auto-Report, auto-Repeat, auto-Reflex, or auto-Request (for special external processing).
